Our Refund & Returns Policy

Everything you need to know about cancellations, returns, resends and refunds - please read in full before getting in touch.

At Cornish Cream Teas, we take great pride in making sure your hamper and its contents reach you in perfect condition. Your satisfaction is at the heart of what we do, and if for any reason your expectations have not been met, the policy below explains exactly how we handle it. 🛑 Cancellations

If you change your mind and wish to cancel your order, you can do so up to 24 hours before the expected dispatch date without any penalty.

A full refund will be credited back to the original card used for the order. We do not charge any administration or restocking fees.

📦 Returns

In the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied with your hamper upon delivery, please get in touch with us immediately so we can arrange a return.

✔ If the return is due to a fault with the goods: provided the entire hamper is returned in its original condition within 48 hours of receipt, we will refund the full purchase price along with any postage charges.

✔ If the return is unrelated to any fault on our side: we can refund the hamper cost, excluding perishable items and any delivery charges.

Please note: any fresh produce included in the hamper cannot be credited, and the cost of these items will be deducted from any refund issued.

To start a return, please contact our customer service team and we will guide you through the returns authorisation and postage process.

🚪 Non-Delivery

It is your responsibility to make appropriate arrangements to accept your delivery. The courier will attempt delivery three times before returning the parcel to us.

If you are unable to receive the delivery on the date and time provided by the courier, please contact the courier directly to arrange an alternative delivery time or location. You can also:

  • Request the courier deliver to a neighbour
  • Ask for the parcel to be left in a designated safe location (at your own risk)
  • Upgrade to a timed or weekend delivery slot

If a delivery fails because no-one was home and the parcel is returned to us, refunds cannot be issued as this falls outside of our control.

🔁 Resends

In the situations above (missed delivery, returned parcel), if you wish to have the goods resent, this will be at the customer's expense and will incur the standard delivery charge.

The original hamper products will be resent without any substitutions.

📮 Replacement Boxes & Refunds

If your order does not arrive within 48 hours of dispatch, please get in touch and we will arrange to send a replacement box as quickly as possible, at our cost.

⚠️ Important - if a replacement has been sent and the box then arrives on the correct delivery date: should you still wish to request a refund due to any issues with the order, we will need the box to be returned to us before a refund can be issued. This is because a replacement will already have been dispatched to you at our cost.

How it works:

  1. Get in touch and let us know the reason for the refund request, along with clear photos of any issues.
  2. We will email you a returns address and instructions.
  3. Please return the box to us using a tracked service.
  4. Once we have received the returned box, we will process your refund within 3-5 working days back to the original card used for the order.

This policy allows us to continue offering fast, no-quibble replacements for delayed parcels while keeping things fair for everyone.

💳 How Refunds Are Processed

All approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout. We do not offer store credit or refunds to a different card.

Once approved, refunds are usually processed within 3-5 working days, though your bank may take a little longer to display the credit on your statement.

We do not charge any administration, restocking or handling fees on refunds.

❄️ A Note On Perishable Goods

Because our hampers contain fresh produce (pasties, clotted cream, cheese), these items are sent blast-frozen inside an insulated thermal pouch with a gel pack and are designed to arrive in perfect condition to be refrigerated straight away.

If a delay causes perishable items to arrive in unusable condition, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt with clear photos so we can assess and resolve it quickly.
